Rise Of The Foot Soldier
Charts the rise of Carlton Leach as a prolific gangster from a football hooligan, the film culminates with one of the most brutal gangland slayings in British history.

“For the Angel of Death spread his wings on the blast,
And breathed in the face of the foe as he passed;
And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill,
And their hearts but once heaved, and for ever grew still!”

Essex is my old stomping ground, i'm from London/Essex, i moved away in 1995 and i was banged up in Chelmsford prison that year, so there's a good chance i was on the same wing as Pat Tate at the same time.

(2014)

Director: Gareth Evans
Writer: Gareth Evans
Stars: Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, Arifin Putra

He thought it was over. After fighting his way out of a building filled with gangsters and madmen - a fight that left the bodies of police and gangsters alike piled in the halls - rookie Jakarta cop Rama thought it was done and he could resume a normal life. He couldn't have been more wrong. Formidable though they may have been, Rama's opponents in that fateful building were nothing more than small fish swimming in a pond much larger than he ever dreamed possible. And his triumph over the small fry has attracted the attention of the predators farther up the food chain. His family at risk, Rama has only one choice to protect his infant son and wife: He must go undercover to enter the criminal underworld himself and climb through the hierarchy of competing forces until it leads him to the corrupt politicians and police pulling the strings at the top of the heap. And so Rama begins a new odyssey of violence, a journey that will force him to set aside his own life and history and take on a new identity as the violent offender "Yuda." In prison he must gain the confidence of Uco - the son of a prominent gang kingpin - to join the gang himself, laying his own life on the line in a desperate all-or-nothing gambit to bring the whole rotten enterprise to an end.

Just got done watching this one at the theatre and wow what a fuckin movie ! Absolutley loved it ! You don't wanna miss this one. The fighting scenes are some of the most intense, brutal fighting i've ever seen in a movie. This is even better that the first one. It's got a good story, good direction and very well shot. It is long at 2 hours an half hours but it goes by fast. Once your into it you won't want it to end. A  great action movie !

Total Recall (1990) i won't watch the remake on general principle.
Film about a man who'se memory was erased and it starts coming back to him and how he saves the people living on Mars from a greedy dictator. 8/10

(2013)

Director: James Franco
Writers: James Franco (screenplay), Vince Jolivette (screenplay),
Stars: James Franco, Tim Blake Nelson, Scott Haze

Set in mountainous Sevier County, Tennessee, Child of God tells the story of Lester Ballard, a dispossessed, violent man whom the narrator describes as "a child of God much like yourself perhaps." Ballard's life is a disastrous attempt to exist outside the social order. Successively deprived of parents and homes and with few other ties, Ballard descends literally and figuratively to the level of a cave dweller as he falls deeper into crime and degradation.

One of those "wtf did i just watch"  kinda movies.
